Do you find yourself working on your iPhone at night and using Things – say, when finishing up some thoughts for the day while lying in bed? Or perhaps you’re in really low light situations and don’t want your retinas fried by the sudden white light that Things 3 emits? Do you ever feel like you could really use a dark mode for the awesome Things app? Well, with an easy iPhone setting change, you can!
Follow these steps
1) In iOS 11 on iPhone X, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut. You will be taken to this screen, below. Note that at the top of the screenshot it says “Triple Click the Side Button For:”. Make sure you only check Smart Invert Colors :
2) Next, open Things. Now, go ahead and triple click that side button. Kaboom! Is your mind blown yet? You should be greeted with this color scheme :
Admittedly, this looks like Things’ evil twin from an alternate universe, but it will give you a dark mode that is easily turned on and off.
Triple-click that side button again….aaaand back to a normal white screen.
